Magda's journey in the world of acting began in 1988 when she completed her studies in drama. Since then, she has become a versatile force, seamlessly transitioning between roles as an actor, assistant director, director, producer and as an acting instructor. Her ability to adapt and excel in various capacities is a testament to her exceptional talent and unwavering dedication.

In 1997-2000, Magda embarked on a transformative academic pursuit, rekindling her passion for theatre by studying at Université Laval (QC). During this period, she honed her skills and expanded her knowledge, further solidifying her position as an unquestionable talent in the theatre industry.

In 2002, Magda's journey took her to Mexico, where she served as a teacher of acting, classical theatre, and directing at the Universidad de las Américas. Her expertise and passion for theatre education shone through as she imparted her knowledge to aspiring actors, nurturing their talents, and shaping their artistic journeys.

Throughout her illustrious career, Magda has amassed a plethora of notable achievements. As the artistic director of Le Petit Théâtre de l'Alliance Française de Vancouver, she astounded audiences with her directorial prowess, staging a captivating rendition of Georges Feydeau's "Un Fil à la patte" in 2019 and in 2023, she astounded audiences with a Molière classic at the NEST, delivering three consecutive sold-out performances in a project generously funded by Canadian Heritage.

In 2022, Magda directed the enthralling French-speaking project “De la plume à la scene”, produced by La Boussole de Vancouver, showcasing her remarkable versatility and unparalleled ability to breathe life into stories on stage. In 2023, she directed “SpectActivisme”, a groundbreaking forum theatre project also produced by La Boussole, with the unwavering support of Canadian Heritage. She is resolutely committed to employing theatre as a powerful tool for exploring and addressing social issues, empowering audiences to actively engage in the conversation.

Magda's commitment to teaching extends far beyond the confines of traditional educational institutions. She has imparted her wisdom as a drama teacher at École Secondaire Jules-Verne and served as a faculty member at the Gateway Academy in Richmond, BC. Moreover, Magda has made significant contributions as a Francophone Community Outreach Coordinator at Full Circle: First Nations Performance, exemplifying her untiring dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the arts.

Presently, Magda is deeply immersed in a myriad of independent theatre projects, assuming the roles of director and producer for Farandula Theatre. Her primary focus lies in sharing her profound expertise in drama within the BC French community, enriching the cultural landscape and providing an unparalleled platform for local talent to shine.

In addition to her theatrical endeavors, Magda dedicates herself to facilitating theatre workshops for Réseau-Femmes BC, making invaluable contributions to the personal and artistic growth of participants. She has also directed two plays for Culture Days BC 2023 as part of Bocadillos de teatro. Magda's exceptional talent and solid dedication have earned her full membership in UBCP ACTRA, and she takes immense pride in being represented by Trisko Talent as an actor.

Anna Salas

Actress, acting instructor & Video producer.

Stage creator and playwright with more than 30 years of experience. Throughout her career she has acted in more than twenty plays in all genres.

She studied acting at the National School of Theater Art of the INBA. In 2018 she completed the Certificate in Theatricality, Body and Contemporary Textualities at the 17th Institute of Critical Studies.

She obtained a Master's degree in Theatre and Performing Arts from the International University of La Rioja in 2020.

She studied directing actors with Pawell Novicki; she has training in Clown and  Cabaret  Creation

She has also worked in film, commercial and cultural TV as both an actress and host. Represented by Trisko Talent Management in Vancouver where she has participated as a choreographer and actress with Le Petit Théâtre AF Vancouver, with Farádula Theatre in the play Do You Know How to Swim? and with Teatro Consentido in the play No More Lies, both in her presentations for Culture Days 2023. In 2021 she directed for video theater the project of the stories of Hebert Poll Gutierrez Emi Lará, Calgary.

A stage director for 17 years and passionate about the actor's work, she is also an acting coach and has included experimentation processes in her projects.

Since 2014 she has participated in the acting training  seminars of maestro Fernando Piernas that have allowed her to deepen and perfect herself in conducting actors. She has taught workshops in Mexico, Uruguay and Vancouver.
